The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program assists low-income households, with special attention to households that spend a high percentage of their total income on home energy.

Share the Warmth Round Up

Share the Warmth is a Piedmont Natural Gas energy assistance program designed to help low-income individuals and families pay their monthly energy bills – regardless of the energy source used in the home.

Customer Bill of Rights

The Customer Bill of Rights provides natural gas customers information about their rights as a customer and who to contact with questions or problems.

211.org

211.org is a free service that can help you find local community agencies that provide assistance with a wide range of needs, including utility bills and medical expenses. To get started, simply dial 211 from your phone or visit your state’s site: NC211.org, SC211.org, or TN211.org.

Health & Accessibility

  • Third-Party Notifications

    This is a FREE service that notifies a designated third party if a Piedmont Natural Gas bill goes unpaid. It's a great help for people who sometimes simply forget to pay their bill, become ill or travel frequently.

  • Medical Certification

    Customers who meet eligibility and medical requirements may be entitled to special consideration before disconnection and/or will not be disconnected during the months of November through March.

  • Braille & Large Print Bills

    If you or someone you know is visually impaired, we offer bills in Braille or large print. Call us at 800.752.7504 to request.
