Start service at a new address.
Select this option if you do not have an active account and need to start natural gas service. (Not for temporary/seasonal reconnections. Please be advised, if you are starting service at an address that you were previously at within 12 months, a reconnection fee may be applied.)
Remember when scheduling your appointment:Your electricity and water services must be active before your scheduled appointment date. If either of these services are not active when the technician arrives, it will result in delays establishing your natural gas service.
Our scheduling calendar will provide the first available appointment date. To increase the likelihood that your desired date is available, please provide as much notice as possible.
Start ServiceStop service at an existing location.
Select this option to cancel your natural gas service. (Not for temporary/seasonal disconnections.) Please be aware that if you move back into the same address within 12 months a reconnection fee may be applied.
Please have the following information ready when you place your order:- Your account number
- Your email address
- Zip code of service address
- The mailing address to which you would like us to send your final bill
- Let us help you either close or transfer the account of a loved one who has passed away.
Move your service, quickly and easily.
Select this option if you are already a Piedmont Natural Gas customer and are moving from one residence within our service area to another.
You will be asked to provide the following information:- Current account number and ZIP code (FROM where service is being moved)
- New physical address (TO where service should be moved)
- Dates you wish to Stop and Start services
- Mailing/billing address (if different from physical address)
- Contact information (phone number and email address)
- Your electricity and water services at your new residence must be active before your scheduled appointment date. If either of these services are not active when the technician arrives, it will result in delays establishing your natural gas service.

If it is necessary for you to reestablish credit with a security deposit or if you need to obtain an acceptable guarantor, we will contact you by email with additional instructions.
