Frequently Asked Payment Questions

  • Use this option to make a one-time payment online with your bank account (checking or savings) or your credit card (Visa™, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) absolutely free. (Please note: At this time, credit card payments are available for Residential customers only.)

    To pay your bill online, simply log in to your Online Services account from the home page or by choosing "Pay Online" on the Payment and Billing Options page. If you are not registered for Online Services, you can do so by clicking "Register for Online Services" on the login screen. Please note: To register, you will need your account number, which can be found on your bill, and your ZIP code.
  • When you sign up for Automatic Bank Draft, your monthly payments automatically will be drafted directly from your bank account on the due date indicated on your bill. To enroll in Automatic Bank Draft, simply log in to your Online Services account. If you are not registered for Online Services, you can do so by clicking "Register for Online Services" on the login screen. Please note: To register, you will need your account number, which can be found on your bill, and your ZIP code.
  • Avoid disconnection or late fees by paying your Piedmont Natural Gas bill through Speedpay for same-day processing. Call 866.316.3356 toll-free 24 hours a day.
  • Bring your bill to any of our authorized payment locations to make your payment. Find the authorized payment location nearest you.
  • Your Piedmont Natural Gas bill can be mailed to the address below. Please allow seven to 10 days for your payment to be received, and include your account number on your check. When mailing your payment, please include the remittance slip at the bottom of your paper bill. If you do not have your remittance slip, you can view and print a copy by clicking "View My Bill" on the Payment and Billing Options page and logging in to your Online Services account, then selecting the appropriate month's bill.

    Note: Overnight payments may be mailed via United States Postal Service (USPS), FedEx and UPS.

  • Your natural gas service will not be terminated if, prior to the scheduled termination date,you are able to establish that you are unable to pay your account in full and you agree to enter into a reasonable installment agreement. An approved late payment charge of 1% per month will apply to the balance in arrears. The installment agreement shall encompass both the sum of the outstanding balance and also the estimated charges for natural gas usage, which is reasonably projected by the company to occur during the period of the agreement. Estimated charges shall be based upon an analysis of past usage.

  • Go paperless! Our secure Paperless Billing allows you to pay your Piedmont Natural Gas bill directly from your email inbox. If you are registered for Online Services, simply log in to your account and click "Enroll Now" under "Paperless Billing Status" in your Account Summary. If you are not registered for Online Services, you will need to do so to enroll in Paperless Billing. Click "Register for Online Services" on the login screen. Please note: To register, you will need your account number, which can be found on your bill, and your ZIP code.
