How We Maintain Safety and Reliability

  • We use industry best practices and continuously improve our processes so that we can bring you the very best in safe, reliable natural gas service.
  • The safety of our pipeline delivery system starts with the design and engineering process before the pipeline construction project ever begins. We design, construct, operate and maintain our pipelines in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Piedmont Natural Gas is committed to its pipeline safety management programs, and performs regular inspections and maintenance on our pipelines using a variety of state-of-the-art methods, including in-line inspections, leak detection surveys, corrosion control techniques and 24/7, 365-day monitoring of our natural gas transmission pipeline system.
  • Our ongoing commitment to pipeline safety and reliability continues as long as a pipeline remains in service.
